Cheryl Hom focuses her practice on personal injury and workers' compensation law. Prior to joining Hall Ansley in 2024, Cheryl spent several years at an area firm litigating and resolving truck and car crash cases, premises liability, wrongful death, insurance bad faith, and work-related injury claims. She is a committed advocate for individuals harmed by negligence or injured in the workplace.

Having transitioned to law after a 20-year career in the corporate setting, Cheryl brings a unique perspective to her legal practice. Cheryl’s background in human resources management and business operations significantly enhances her work as an attorney. Her deep understanding of workplace dynamics and policies, coupled with her strong communication and negotiation skills, allows her to effectively represent and advocate for her clients.

Cheryl earned her J.D. with an emphasis in Advocacy from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law. While commuting from her home in Springfield to Kansas City, she competed on the law school’s mock trial team, served as president of the Health Law Society, participated in the Master Clinical Advocacy program, and earned the top grade in Winning Voir Dire. During her second year in law school, Cheryl spent three weeks interning and studying advanced trial techniques with civil and criminal defense attorneys at the renowned Trial Lawyers College in Wyoming.

Currently at Hall Ansley, Cheryl continues her engagement with the community and the legal profession. She is the immediate past president of the Southern Missouri Women Lawyers, Chair-Elect of the Springfield Art Museum Board, and serves on the boards of Champion Athletes of the Ozarks and Kids’ Chance of Missouri. Additionally, she contributes to the Continuing Legal Education Committee of the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys. Cheryl’s leadership and commitment to legal and civic organizations demonstrate her passion and dedication to making a significant impact in both arenas.
