Adam P. Pihana is a shareholder at Hall Ansley, P.C., where he has practiced since joining the firm immediately after law school in 2007. A civil trial lawyer with nearly two decades of litigation experience, Adam represents clients in matters involving medical negligence, personal injury, wrongful death, products liability, consumer law, and employment claims. His practice has taken him through every stage of litigation, including case investigation, motion practice, written discovery, depositions, expert development, mediation, trial preparation, and jury trial.
Adam earned his law degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law, where he served on the Missouri Law Review. He has made Springfield his home since graduation, building a practice rooted in careful preparation, practical judgment, and committed advocacy for his clients. He is admitted to practice in Missouri and before the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Missouri.
The son of a military family, Adam grew up in places as varied as Germany, Okinawa, and Hawaii. That upbringing gave him an early appreciation for discipline, adaptability, and service, qualities that continue to shape the way he approaches the practice of law.
Adam has also been active in the legal community. He is a former board member of the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association and the SMBA Foundation. In 2011, he was elected by his peers to represent District 11 on The Missouri Bar’s Young Lawyers’ Section Council, serving attorneys across nine southwest Missouri counties until 2017. He chaired the SMBA Law Day Committee in 2013, and The Missouri Bar selected him for its 2009-2010 Leadership Academy, a program designed to identify and develop emerging leaders within the profession. Adam has also been recognized by Super Lawyers beginning in 2017.
Outside the office, Adam enjoys spending time with his wife, Stacy, and their sons, Max and Sam. He is also a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Steve Haydock.
